Job Description

Our client is URGENTLY seeking experienced Welders to work in GAINSBOROUGH, Lincolnshire. The company is a large reputable company, offering great career opportunities and benefits.

Our client is an international company who design and manufacture systems for the automotive industry.

The main function you will perform within the role will be the manufacture of automotive components in stainless steel and mild steel using TIG and MIG weld technology to the required quality and specification. This involves interpretation of engineering drawings and use of jigs and fixtures to aid manufacture.

£10.84 per hour for the first 39 hours, then time and a half thereafter.

Monday to Friday - Days and Nights available.

Ongoing work until further notice

IMMEDIATE STARTS available upon successful completion of an interview and a weld test.

Summary

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture of automotive component parts in stainless steel and mild steel
  • Manufacture of components to company quality standards
  • Manufacture of assembly aids
  • Completing works order documentation for jobs processed and compilation of time sheets on a daily basis
  • Maintenance of housekeeping standards within working area
  • Assist in solving manufacturing problems
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards within the working area

Experience

  • TIG welding
  • Comprehension of engineering drawings
  • Engineering workshop experience
  • Working to established quality criteria

Desired Skills

  • MIG welding
  • Use of jigs and fixtures to assemble fabricated components
  • Welding of thin gauge stainless steel 16 gauge to 20 gauge and pipe work diameter 2” to 6”
  • Excellent time keeping and attendance
  • Work with minimal supervision and under own initiative
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, honest and conscientious
  • Keen to become involved in improving manufacturing processes
