Job Description

Our client, an independent company, experts in support functions to retailers and wholesalers, are offering an exciting opportunity for an Admin Assistant to join their team based in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

This company is a forward-thinking organisation, employing many employees across multiple sites, and they're offering a permanent contract position to join an existing team of office personnel, providing a first-class service within office/warehouse operations.

You will be joining a proactive company that develop tailor made customer solutions, therefore, you will be committed, hardworking and goal orientated with excellent time keeping & communication skills who enjoys working as part of a team.

Objective of the role

Working within a busy sales office. The role will serve as an admin assistant supporting the smooth running of the office operations.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday, 0700 to 1700


The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • General administration support to ensure efficient operations of the office
  • Answering phone calls
  • Exhibit polite and professional communications via phone, email
  • Checking transport is booked in for all directs
  • Setting up pick notes for the warehouse
  • Liaising with transport companies for outbound deliveries
  • Advising operations of any order issues
  • Ensuring documents are accurate and accompanying goods are being despatched
  • Any other administrative tasks as required (filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc)


  • Microsoft Excel proficient
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, word, publisher etc)
  • Computer literate


  • Previous office experience (within a busy environment)
