Job Description

Our client, part of a large multi-national company, and experts in the manufacturing of films for multiple packaging markets, are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team based in North Lincolnshire.

This company are a forward-thinking organisation and are offering the chance of a permanent position, to assist in the growth and development of this manufacturing business.

You will be joining a proactive company that develop tailor made customer solutions, therefore, you will be enthusiastic, energetic, motivated with excellent time keeping & communication skills who enjoys working as part of a team.

Objective of the Role:

To maximise sales for the company whilst striving to maintain and increase profitability. You will achieve this through successfully increasing the income and revenue generation by converting leads into customers, managing and negotiating with current clients, qualifying prospects and managing sales.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1700
  • Office and/or Home Based working

Responsibilities

The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities – including growth areas, trends, customers
  • Seek out the decision makers within organisations
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers, qualifying your prospects
  • Meet with customers / clients face to face and/or over the phone/video call
  • Develop relationships with customers/clients by using management and negotiation skills
  • Understand the needs of the customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
  • Think strategically by seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses products / services and be able to advise prospects about them
  • Plan sales campaigns and creating sales pipelines
  • Increase the sales of the business working towards targets and KPIs
  • You will be working in the office as well as potentially home based, the role will involve travelling to meet with customers

Education

  • GCSE to ‘A’ Level
  • Competent with computers and Microsoft packages and CRM software
  • Full driving licence

Experience

  • Proven experience of business development – creating new business opportunities preferably within the film/packaging industry (manufacturers, merchants and/or distributors)
  • Experience of coping well under pressure and working to tight deadlines to achieve KPI/Targets
