We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Officer to work from our Scunthorpe branch, contributing to the generation of sales for the company. You will be responsible for closing sales deals over the phone and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

As a member of our Business Development team you must be an excellent communicator and have superior people skills. You must be comfortable presenting services over the phone as well as overcoming objections.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a well established, forward thinking recruitment agency, that forms part of a group of employment and training based companies, that is currently experiencing a period of growth.


Hours of Work

  • 0830 to 1730

Summary

Responsibilities

  • Contact potential and existing customers to inform them about Diverse Employment's services
  • Answer questions about the company
  • Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales
  • Direct prospects to the team when needed
  • Enter and update customer information into a modern recruitment CRM software system
  • Take and process orders in an accurate manner
  • Handle grievances to preserve the company’s reputation
  • Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales
  • Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information

Education

  • Excellent knowledge of English

Experience

  • Proven experience within a Business Development role or other sales role within a service industry
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone

Desired Skills

  • Have a hunger to succeed and be the best
  • Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software) and telephone systems
  • Ability to learn about services and describe/explain them to prospects
  • Helpful and courteous manner with a responsible attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues
