Job Description
Our client is looking to recruit Class 2 Drivers in Grimsby, and are keen to speak to individuals with the right skills as soon as possible.
We are currently looking for a temporary drivers for an immediate start.
Salary: £10.55 per hour, Saturday £12.91, Sunday £15.22 - (late shifts supplement £2.11 per hr)
Our client is a UK leading integrated waste management company providing collection, recycling, treatment, disposal and technologically driven energy generation services across four operating divisions. Industrial and commercial waste collection service provider, covering a vast range of UK business sectors, including manufacturing, retail and hospitality.
This national company are a forward-thinking organisation and are offering temporary position(s) to join an existing team of hardworking drivers to provide a first-class service within the logistics operations.
You will be enthusiastic, energetic, motivated and physically fit with excellent time keeping skills who enjoys working as part of a team.

Job Summary
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday, Days – potentially could include a late shift (2pm to 11:30pm)
Responsibilities
The following are a list of responsibilities for the Class 2 Drivers jobs in Grimsby :
- Perform driver checks, ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy and load is safe for the public highway
- Comply with all highways regulations e.g. speed limits and weight and height limits
- Ensure compliance with Road Transport Directive especially in relation to hours worked
- Maintain accurate records relating to work undertaken, vehicle information and checks
- Reporting Vehicle movements (via tachograph).
- Carry out daily vehicle checks as per laid down procedures
- Collection of package goods, hazardous waste from around the country
- Driving and loading of various types of waste collection vehicles including trade waste
Education
- A driver CPC and Digi Card
Experience
- Previous Class 2 Driving experience
- Previous experience within refuse collecting / driving advantageous - although not essential
