Job Description

Our well-established client, leading manufacturer of products within its industrial sector, are looking to recruit CNC Machine Operatives to work at their busy site in the Brigg area.

This company are a forward-thinking organisation with over 50 year’s experience and are offering long term position(s) to join an existing team of hardworking CNC operatives, providing a first-class service within their manufacturing operations.

The objective of your role:

Set up, operate, and maintain machinery within the manufacturing department. Responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Thursday, 0545 to 1415, Friday 0545 to 1245 (39hrs pw)

Responsibilities

The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Working in a team
  • Operating a CNC Machine – State of the art, automated Router/Edge bander to produce high quality furniture parts
  • Operating high output machine
  • Set up machinery for operation
  • Start machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance
  • Perform quality control checks, follow reporting and record keeping procedures
  • Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area
  • Always have a good understanding of Health & Safety

Education

  • Must be numerate and literate
  • Understanding of production and plant processes

Experience

  • Previous CNC machine operative experience
  • Previous experience within manufacturing environment and/or similar
  • Proven record of being a team player

  • Have effective communication skills, follow written and verbal instructions
  • Be a team player
  • Excellent attention to details (detail-orientated)
  • Work to deadlines and under pressure
  • Physically fit due to the active nature of this role
