Job Description

Our client, a multi award winning restaurant, experts in hospitality, are offering an exciting opportunity for a Commis Chef in North Lincolnshire.

You will be joining a proactive establishment that develop their dining experience, providing customers with fresh produce always and nothing but the finest ingredients. Purpose of the Role:

To maximise the effectiveness of the kitchen by providing full support to the Chef de Partie, preparing high quality meal ingredients and assist with various kitchen duties. You will be an important role to the establishment.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Over 7 days, 2.5 days off per week


The following are a list of responsibilities for the Commis Chef jobs in Scunthorpe :

  • Accurately measuring ingredients for the Chef de Partie
  • Prepare meal ingredients, washing, peeling and chopping vegetables and fruit
  • Preparing salads and sauces as directed by the Chef de Partie
  • Assisting on the grill, larder and pastry
  • Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notify of low or depleted supplies
  • Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitised
  • Plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef de Partie's instructions


  • Diploma / associates degree and or similar in Culinary art / catering
  • Food hygiene certificate
  • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations


  • Proven commercial kitchen experience
