Job Description

Our client, a well-established company, have a great opportunity to work within a forward-thinking company, with job security. As part of their on-going commitment to setting and maintaining high service standards, they are looking to recruit a Conversion Operative to help with the manufacture of their products in Immingham.

The main purpose of the role will be to manufacture products to specification and quality standards through efficient operation of machinery and equipment to maximum efficiently following correct operational procedures

Hours of Work

  • Continental shift pattern (working 7 days over a 14 days period – 5/2 shift pattern)

Responsibilities

  • Run slitting machines under supervision
  • Clearly follow work instruction documentation
  • Ensure production meets efficiencies and throughputs, to the required technical standards.
  • To complete machinery safety start-up checks
  • To deal with stoppage problems quickly and efficiently seeking advice where necessary.
  • To accurately operate and implement all aspects of the computer system
  • To carry out quality checks at required intervals
  • To complete all required documentation accurately and on time
  • To keep supervisor or setter informed of all problems and material deficiencies
  • Ensure accurate handovers are conducted at the start and end of shift.
  • Ensure your working area is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing information.
  • To be flexible in undertaking duties and responsibilities, may be asked to perform other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of the position and are commensurate with its level of responsibility
