Our client, a well established business and market leaders within their industry for over 110 years, employing over 200 people across multiple sites, are offering an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join their team based in the Scunthorpe area.

This company are a forward-thinking organisation, priding themselves on offering a range of firefighting products and systems across Europe.

Purpose of the Role:

You will be responsible for being the first point of contact with out client's customers. Providing them with excellent support and assistance over the phone and managing any quotes and orders efficiently. Your main responsibility will be to maintain customer relations, whilst building strong relationships with the sales and technical support teams.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday, Days, 0900 to 1700


The following are a list of responsibilities for the Customer Service Representative jobs in Scunthorpe :

  • Deal with incoming customer service calls and handle any issues
  • Understand and convert customer requirement(s) into product code or bill material
  • Prepare quotations based on pricing guidelines from the commercial team
  • Process and follow incoming orders
  • Coordinate shipment to the customers
  • Liaise with the warehouse where applicable
  • Follow up shipments with transporter(s)
  • Answer queries from customers regarding delivery times, product information, technical documents, and other aspects where necessary
  • Check daily reports and act accordingly
  • Filing and maintenance of office and administrative documents
  • Work in conjunction with the external sales and technical team
  • Additional tasks upon request from the Operations manager


  • Must be numerate and literate
  • Good standard of education required, including Maths and English
  • Must be computer literate


  • Previous administration experience
  • Proven history of customer service experience and building relationships
  • Would be desirable if you have knowledge of import/export trades & SAP (not essential)
