Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in eco-friendly products, are looking to recruit a Forklift Driver to work at their site based in the Scunthorpe area. You will be joining a growing company with many years of combined experience within their industry.

This company are a forward-thinking organisation with big growth plans within the next 5 years and are offering temp to perm position(s) to join an existing team of hardworking Forklift Drivers(s) to provide a first-class service to its industry.

You will be enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated and physically fit with excellent time keeping skills and who enjoys working as part of a team. This role will suit you if you are keen to progress, maintaining high standards and have a hands-on, dedicated approach.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • 3 rotating shifts, Monday to Friday, 6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6 – possible overtime available on weekends

Responsibilities

The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Working as part of a team
  • Ensure work is carried out to the highest standards of health and safety
  • Move pallets across site
  • Load / Unload palletised products
  • Review and assess the products for quality
  • A good understanding of manual handling is required
  • Working in a warm environment

Education

  • A good understanding of manual handling is required

Experience

  • Previous Forklift experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes, previous manufacturing experience an advantage
  • Manual handling experience
  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced environment

Desired Skills / Qualities

  • Must be physically fit due to the nature of the role
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Must have the ability to be thorough and pay attention to detail
  • Be a team player
  • Able to follow instructions and guidance
  • Adhere to health & safety on site
