Job Description

Our client, a large company, experts in the manufacturer of sustainable products, are looking to recruit Machine Operatives to join their team at their facility in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

This company are a forward-thinking organisation with over 80 year’s experience in their sector, They are offering long term position(s) to join an existing team of hardworking machine operatives, providing a first-class service within their manufacturing operations.

You will be enthusiastic, energetic, motivated, and physically fit with excellent time keeping. Thriving on working as part of a team ensuring the highest quality of work is always produced.

Objective of the role:

Set up, operate, and maintain machinery within the manufacturing department. Responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Thursday, 0730 to 1700, Friday 0730 to 1130


The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Working in a team
  • Operating various machines – corrugator, rewinder and curioni etc according to instructions
  • Set up machinery for operation
  • Feed paper into the machine and/or taking rolls off at the end of the process
  • Start machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance
  • Perform quality control, follow reporting and record keeping procedures
  • Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area
  • Always have a good understanding of Health & Safety


  • Must be numerate and literate
  • Understanding of production and plant processes


  • Experience is not essential
  • Previous experience within manufacturing environment and/or similar
  • Previous machine operative experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven record of being a team player
