Job Description

Our client, a successful business expert in the manufacturing, supplying and recycling of products within the construction industry, are offering excellent opportunities for Manufacturing Operatives to join their team in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

This firm having over 26 years of experience have continued their growth and are now employing many employees across their multiple sites.

This company are a forward-thinking organisation and are offering permanent position(s) to join a new team of hardworking manufacturing staff to provide a first-class service within its manufacturing operations.

You will be joining a proactive company that develop tailor made customer solutions, therefore, you will be enthusiastic, energetic, motivated, with excellent time keeping & communication skills who enjoys working as part of a team that wants to be more than a number. Your role matters and you will be an integrated part of this business’s operation.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Continental Shifts (2 days on / 2 off / 3 nights on / 2 off / 2 days on / 3 off)
  • working 5 shifts 1 week then 2 shifts the next with every other weekend off


The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Assisting and running the line
  • Packing the finished products
  • Ensure the line is efficiently changed including material blends, process condition setting and print changes
  • Performing quality inspection test to ensure the suitability of the finished product is to the defined and certified quality standards
  • Labelling of finished goods, packing and preparation
  • Warehousing duties including storage of finished goods and supply of raw materials
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and ensuring compliance


  • Counterbalance licence – desirable
  • Understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment


  • Proven experience of having working within a plastics processing environment and/or similar (extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding etc)
  • Experience of flexographic printing would be an advantage
  • Previous experience of machine operations (continuous manufacturing and/or some engineering experience)
