Exciting opportunity to work for an independent growing company that is offering a new, exciting service within holistic support.

Our client is looking to recruit a PA / MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER to work in the BARTON-UPON-HUMBER area. You will be joining a team of carers (specialising in dementia and/or complex mental health cases) to support families.

You will be enthusiastic, energetic and motivated with excellent time keeping skills who enjoys working as part of a team, supporting a client base with complex mental health difficulties and/or physical disabilities. This role will suit you if you are a strong character that will not take things personally.

An enhanced DBS check is necessary for this role

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday, 1600 to 2230 and weekends, 1400 to 2000 (upto 35 hours per week)

Responsibilities

The following are a list of responsibilities for the PA / Mental Health Support Worker jobs in Barton-upon-Humber :

  • Assist and accompany the client within the community daily allowing her to engage
  • Support the client to engage in day to day activities in relation to their physical and emotional needs
  • Carry our domestic tasks
  • Assisting with mobility (wheelchair user)
  • Offer practical and emotional support to enable participation in social, educational and community activities
  • Be a strong support offer clarity to the client

Education

  • Have an interest in working in psychology and mental health, specifically PTSD and autism
  • Must have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Experience

  • Previous insight / experience of working within a mental health environment and/or similar (DESIRABLE)

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be confident and strong willed, be able to handle black and white outlooks
