Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in eco-friendly products are offering an exciting opportunity for Weekend Packing Operatives (Manufacturing) to join their team based in Scunthorpe.

You will be joining a growing organisation with many years of combined experience within their industry. This is a forward-thinking organisation and are offering temp to perm position(s) to join an existing team of hardworking manufacturing operative(s) to provide a first-class service to its industry.

12 hour shifts - Sat and Sun

You will be enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated, and physically fit with excellent time keeping skills who enjoys working as part of a team and being part of a project. This role will suit you if you are keen to progress, maintaining high standards and have a hands-on, dedicated approach.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Saturday and Sunday, 0600 to 1800 and 1800 to 0600


The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Working in a team
  • Ensure work is carried out to the highest standards of health and safety
  • Pack products on an assembly line as per customer specification
  • Review and assess the products for quality
  • Metal detecting
  • You need to be physically fit and be happy standing for 12-hour shifts
  • A good understanding of manual handling is required
  • Working in a warm environment


  • Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes, previous manufacturing experience an advantage
  • Experience of factory / warehouse / production type work
  • Manual handling experience
  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced environment

  • Must be physically fit due to the nature of the role
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
  • A good understanding of manual handling is required
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Must have the ability to be thorough and pay attention to detail

  • Able to follow instructions and guidance
  • Adhere to health and safety on site
