Our client, a leading manufacturing company in eco-friendly products are offering an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Assistant to join their team based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.

This company are a forward-thinking organisation with big growth plans within the next 5 years and are offering a permanent position to join an existing team of hardworking office support personnel to provide a first-class service to its industry.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1700

Responsibilities

The following are a list of responsibilities for the Procurement Assistant jobs in Scunthorpe :

  • Working in a team
  • Purchasing raw materials for production
  • Ensure incoming purchased product is processed and managed appropriately according to company procedure
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding end to end fulfilment of purchase orders ensuring materials are ready and available for production at all times
  • Note taking and completing investigatory meetings when required
  • Prepare and complete the relevant paperwork ready for probationary reviews
  • Ensure that production have the necessary manpower according to the workload planned and the adequate cover is maintained
  • Maintain weekly employment agency manning requirements
  • Be aware of key performance indicators and production team to achieve targets set by the operations manager
  • In put data in KPI systems and documents and report to operations manager on a daily basis
  • Working in a warm environment

Education

  • Competent with Microsoft Office packages
  • Good standard of education required, including Maths and English

Experience

  • Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes, previous manufacturing experience an advantage
  • Experience of factory / warehouse / production type work
  • Previous experience of an admin based role
  • SAP experience desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced environment
