Job Description

Our client, a successful family-owned business expert in the manufacture of products within their industry are looking to recruit Production Operatives to work at their busy site based in Thorne, South Yorkshire.

This company are a forward-thinking organisation and are offering temporary to permanent position(s) to join a new team of hardworking production staff to provide a first-class service within its manufacturing operations.

Our client works closely with supply chains to create bespoke items for their customer base to ensure they get the best quality designs.

You will be joining a proactive company that develop tailor made customer solutions, therefore, you will be enthusiastic, energetic, motivated, and physically fit with excellent time keeping & communication skills who enjoys working as part of a team. Your role matters and you will be an integrated part of this business’ operation.

Objective of the role:

Being responsible for the safe and efficient operating of all equipment used in the production of finished goods and in accordance with process and quality standards so as to meet production schedules assigned.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday, 0700 to 1530

Responsibilities

The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Mixing raw materials
  • Operating equipment used in preparation, mixing and finishing product. Equipment includes, mixers, depositor, conveyors, extruders etc
  • Work to strict quality guidelines
  • Use of raw materials in proper rotation
  • Assist with proactively identifying problems and providing solutions
  • Recognise and report any signs of product tampering and equipment damage
  • Maintain cleanliness (keeping the work areas organised, clean and sanitary throughout the shift)
  • End of shift, removal of waste generated during the shift
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and ensuring compliance

Education

  • Understanding of health and safety within a production environment

Experience

  • Proven work experience as a Production Operative and/or similar
  • Previous experience of the food industry (advantageous)
