Job Description

This role represents a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading manufacturing company with over 25 years' experience in its field, and who continue to deliver small through to large projects across the globe.

As a Project Manager you will be joining a team of experienced design engineers to maintain our client's customer base by being fully committed to innovation and excellence, ensuring customer requirements are met.

Excellent facilities and work areas on site, with dedicated manufacturing areas and full fabrication facilities.

You will be enthusiastic, have a good knowledge of solid works, excellent time keeping skills who enjoys working as part of a team. This role will suit you if you are confident and have great initiative skills.

Job Purpose

To be responsible for the project management activity of the business. To 'own' each customer order from the point it is accepted to the point that it is delivered. Striving for 100% customer 'on time in full and to specification' product and service satisfaction. In addition, support business activities as and when requested (eg, customer site visits, product evaluation etc)

  • Monday to Thursday, 0800 to 1630 & Friday 0800 to 1530

Responsibilities

The following are a list of responsibilities for the Project Manager jobs in Sutton-in-Ashfield :

  • Be responsible for the full control of the planning and implementation process for each contract ensuring each project is within the legal framework defined by each contract, whilst accounting for geographical, political, legal, and cultural differences
  • Ensure each project is delivered on time and within budget and scope.
  • Develop and monitor detailed project plans to track progress and ensure projects are on target for completion within agreed timescales.
  • Perform risk management assessments to identify opportunities and threats to each project.
  • Co-ordinate all internal teams, resources and third parties to ensure each contract meets customers’ specifications and requirements.
  • Have direct communication which may require site visits and overseas travel, to ensure the customer has complete visibility of the project; and to agree contract details as and when necessary.
  • Be responsible for the sub-contractors on each project to ensure the correct design and implementation of each project is legally agreed and understood by all parties.
  • Liaise with technical sales to ensure the specifications are fully compliant and agreed for each contract.
  • Have awareness of and follow NEC 3 framework on all projects
  • Complete weekly dairy reports for all activities on site and Health and Safety
  • Be responsible for the final handovers of designs
  • Co-ordinate post completion sales and warranty issues
  • Engage with and Lead Post project debriefs with the commercial team.

Experience

  • Previous project management experience within engineering and/or similar
  • Confidence and initiative to involve yourself within every aspect of the role
