Job Description
Our client, a large recycling company expert in large industrial facility and management, are offering an exciting opportunity for Recycling Operatives in Grimsby. You will be joining a family run business with over 35 years of combined experience within the industry.
This company are a forward-thinking organisation and are offering ongoing position(s) to join an existing team of hardworking recycling operative(s) to provide a first-class service to its industry.
Fantastic opening to work in a 75000 tonne processing facility covering multiple services and a chance to play a part in the community
You will be enthusiastic, energetic, motivated and physically fit with excellent time keeping skills who enjoys working as part of a team and hard work. This role will suit you if you are keen to maintain high standards and have a hands-on, dedicated approach.

Job Summary
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday, 0700 to 1700 with 1 hour unpaid lunch
Responsibilities
The following are a list of responsibilities for the Recycling Operatives jobs in Grimsby :
- Working in a team – 6 to 12 operatives
- Maintaining accurate records for the sorting of materials
- You will be working in a fast pace environment working on a recycling line
- Ensure work is carries out to the highest standards of health and safety
- Communication between colleagues
- You need to be physically fit due to the demanding role
- A good understanding of manual handling is required
- Sort waste and remove non-recyclable items
- Inspect materials for any contamination
Education
- Possibly covered a manual handling course
- Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes
Experience
- Previous labouring and/or similar experience previously
- Flexible approach to adapt to changing demands and conditions
Desired Skills / Qualities
- You will need to be physically fit due to the demanding role
- A good understanding of manual handling is required
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- You must be an effective communicator
- And most importantly you must be able to work as a team player
- Must have the ability to be thorough and pay attention to detail
- You must be able to follow instructions and guidance
- Must have Safety boots and hi-vis jacket
- Self-motivated
