Job Description

Our client, a large well-established firm and experts in the engineering of steel, are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sales Administrator to join their team based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.

This company are a forward-thinking organisation and are offering a 12-month contract (maternity cover) position(s) to join an existing team of hardworking office staff, providing a first-class support service to the businesses engineering operations.

You will be joining a proactive company that develop tailor made customer solutions, therefore, you will be committed, hardworking and goal orientated with excellent time keeping & communication skills who enjoys working as part of a team.

Within this role you will serve as a point of contact for both UK and European customers.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Thursday, 0800 to 1700, Friday 0800 to 1600


The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Customer interaction via email and phone
  • Inputting of orders via IMS system
  • Order checking
  • Complaint and Credit management
  • Sales tracking and spreadsheet updating
  • Other administration tasks as required
  • Filing


  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, word, publisher etc)
  • Computer literate


  • Previous office experience (within a busy environment
