Job Description

Our client, a family run business, priding themselves on offering a range of agricultural products and services, are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Stockperson (Livestock) to join their team based in Scunthorpe.

You will be joining an established team of hard working farm operatives on a breeding and rearing farm, assisting in our client's continued growth and development, whilst maintaining their high standards.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Thursday, 0600 to 1500 and Friday 06 to 1400 – working every other weekend

Responsibilities

The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Working as a team member in an exciting fast pace environment
  • Helping to ensure efficient and smooth running of operations
  • Feeding livestock and hygiene tasks
  • Routine health management of sow and livestock
  • Moving and handling livestock
  • Heavy lifting will be involved
  • Some machinery work cleaning out livestock pens and handling of bedding
  • Disinfecting of buildings
  • Adhere to the companies Health & Safety Policy

Education

  • Must hold a driving licence

Experience

  • Previous agricultural experience and/or similar with regards to working outdoors
  • Previous experience of a tele-handler machine advantageous
  • Manual handling experience

  • Must be physically fit due to the nature of the role
  • Able to work as a team member
  • MUST be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Enthusiasm to provide high standards of animal care
