Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Sales Executive to work in a dynamic, focused sales team committed to the sale of high quality manufacturing products produced in Gainsborough on a permanent contract.

You will be developing a strong technical understanding of a wide range of products, their benefits and characteristics to communicate that information clearly and concisely to our client's customers.

Responsibilities

  • Developing strong technical understanding of a wide range of products, their benefits and characteristics to communicate that information clearly and concisely to customers
  • Prepare detailed yet concise presentations and quotations tailored specifically to match customers’ needs
  • Proactively managing and increasing profitable sales and developing the customer base
  • Working closely with the New Business Specialist to progress sales leads
  • Reporting to the Sales Director
  • Responsible for maintaining existing and developing new customers within the UK
  • Required to travel extensively within the UK and occasionally overseas

Education

  • Skilful and proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook or equivalent
  • Educated to a high level and proficient in Maths and English
  • Driving Licence
  • A technical / engineering Degree or vocational engineering qualifications (DESIRABLE)

Experience

  • Strong technical background and/or the ability to learn and understand new technologies and communicate technical features quickly and accurately
  • Proven commercial sales history of consistently meeting and exceeding targets
  • Experience in the use of CRM systems
  • Experience within the packaging machinery industry (DESIRABLE)

  • Willingness to travel, potentially at short notice
