Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in eco-friendly products are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tool Operative to join their team based in Scunthorpe.

You will be joining a growing organisation with many years of combined experience within their industry. This is a forward-thinking organisation and are offering temp to perm position to join an existing team of hardworking operatives to provide a first-class service to its industry.

You will be enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated, and physically fit with excellent time keeping skills who enjoys working as part of a team and being part of a project. This role will suit you if you are keen to progress, maintaining high standards and have a hands-on, dedicated approach.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1600


The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Stripping down tools after a production run
  • Removing filler guns from the tool and testing them before putting them away
  • Removing air lines, bead pipes and ejectors (all bolt on parts – common sense required and knowledge of using a spanner and a ratchet)
  • Jet washing tools once they have been stripped down ready for the next production run (waterproof clothing provided)
  • Keeping the tooling area clean and tidy
  • Assisting the tool setters with tool changes as and when required
  • Handling of oily, greasy components therefore will be a dirty role
  • Adhere to the companies Health & Safety Policy


  • Previous tool experience
  • Experience of machinery work and/or having worked in an engineering environment
