Job Description

Our client, a young, fast growing independent firm, who pride themselves on being the largest independent flexible packaging manufacturer in the UK, are offering excellent opportunities for Warehouse Operatives with FLT in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Working 7 days over a 14 day period
  • Average will be 43 hours per week
  • Working 5/2 shift pattern
  • Week one - (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - DAYS 5.45am to 6pm
  • Week two - (Wednesday, Thursday) - DAYS 5.45am to 6pm
  • Week three - (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - NIGHTS 5.45pm to 6am
  • Week four - (Wednesday, Thursday) - NIGHTS 5.45pm to 6am

Responsibilities

The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Supplying materials to and from the manufacturing departments
  • Scanning despatch goods
  • Recording of materials to maximise service levels
  • Ensure a safe and efficient workplace
  • Forklift (Counterbalance) duties
  • Moving pallets, palletising, lifting, unloading
  • Picking products
  • Adhere to the companies Health & Safety Policy
  • To comply with all Hygiene and Quality procedures and practices to ensure that company standards are met and surpassed.

Education

  • Hold a valid Forklift Licence (Counterbalance)
  • Must be numerate and literate
  • Good understanding health and safety

Experience

  • Previous warehousing experience
  • A proven track record of Forklift experience (Reach & Counterbalance) having the ability to operate and control equipment
  • Safety awareness
  • Food safety awareness

  • Able to work under supervision
  • A person who can challenge in a supportive manner and work constructively with all functions of the business.
