Job Description

An exciting opportunity to work for a reputable engineering firm based in Scunthorpe, a leader in the manufacturer of steel fabrication products supplying into a diverse customer base. Due to the expansion of the business our client is looking for experienced Welder / Fabricators to join their highly skills fabrication team.

Experienced within their field, offering welding and fabrication solutions across their commercial and retail customers you will be part of a successful company working on small to large industrial projects.

Job Summary

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1700 – hours can be flexible


The following are a list of responsibilities for this role:

  • Carry out light fabrication and welding of gates and railings
  • Produce a set of gates unassisted (welding or joining metal and other materials to form the structures)
  • Cutting materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknesses
  • Complete tasks with the operating of power tools, machinery and welding equipment
  • To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
  • Achieve the targets and job standards set out by supervisors / managers
  • Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
  • Adhere to the companies Health and Safety Policy


  • Semi qualified preferred however will consider individuals with 3+ years experience in a similar role


  • Previous light welding/fabrication experience
  • Knowledge and experience of being able to read technical and hand drawn engineering Drawings
